Shibori, 2011.

The experimentation of different kinds of shibori dyeing techniques.

I appreciate things that happen in a very short moment, thing that you see for only short while and then disappear. One of my most favorite textile techniques is ‘Shibori’ dyeing.
The fabric is dipped in a dark blue dyeing bath for a while and then it is taken up in the air. The oxidation makes the color turn from dark blue to green and back to blue again. It was amazing to see how the color quickly changed back and fort even the color changed very fast.

Technique: Shibori dyeing (Folding, tiding, stiching, wood blocking)
Material: Cotton / Silk
Size: Variable
